Current Sports with Al Martin starts off with a bang today as the show begins with discussions on "Deflategate." What exactly should happen to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady? Al, CS engineer Isaac Constans, and callers debate the issue.

"Current State" reporter Scott Pohl heads to Ann Arbor to visit the only golf course in Michigan that provides "golfboarding" as a way of getting around the green! Hear Pohl's experience, as well as from those that have tried it. Could this spark golf interest for the young generation?

Lastly, we close out the show with "Throwback Thursday."

You’ve heard of surfing. You’ve heard of skateboarding. You’ve heard of snowboarding. Maybe you’ve even tried one of them, or all of them. But you might never have heard of golfboarding.

Golfboarding is a new phenomenon in golf. Rather than walking or using a golf cart, golfers step onto a motorized skateboard-like device to get around the course. It looks like a cross between an oversized skateboard and a segway.

On this edition of Current Sports, Al goes into depth as he evaluates MSU football halfway through the season. On that topic, there are also clips from Mark Dantonio's press conference and some great questions posed from a caller and for "Top Five Tuesday", Al and Alex each give their top five takeaways from the Spartan football season thus far. The show finishes up with some good, old-fashioned NFL banter and even a little bit of golf talk.

Julius Edwards, new head coach of Lansing Eastern, discusses with Al on how he got the head coaching position and what he will try and accomplish this year on the court. Later, Al and Alex debate whether Brandon Pettigrew and Nick Fairley are overrated players. Finally, to cap off the show, it's reflection Friday. The duo goes over their favorite moments from the week.
