Mike Whorf's Kaleidoscope aired on WKAR AM870 at varying times from May 2014 to June 2019

Mike Whorf's Kaleidoscope brings you a colorful mix of people, places and events woven together with period music, archival news recordings and Whorf's distinctive narrative. Tune in for classic encore broadcasts of Kaleidoscope, as well as the occasional new program.

Mike Whorf is known to countless Michigan and mid-western radio listeners as the long-time Detroit radio host of Kaleidoscope. The daily program aired from the mid-1960s to the late 90s and won the coveted Peabody Award in 1968, as well as numerous other statewide and national honors.

WKAR is delighted to partner with Michigan State University's Vincent Voice Library in presenting MSU's 1000+ collection of Kaleidoscope programs donated by Whorf to MSU in the 1970s.
