WKAR guests will see a 30-minute preview of "Sherlock" from "Masterpiece Mystery!" The upcoming season finds the 21st century team of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson battling the worst that modern criminality has to offer, including a computer-savvy arch-villain who wants to rule the world. The first of three new episodes airs Sunday, May 6, on WKAR-TV.
WKAR Preview Event guests will also be treated to a talk by pop culture expert Gary Hoppenstand. A professor of English at MSU, Dr. Hoppenstand will discuss the timeless appeal of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous character, and how this series has been able to successfully update Sherlock Holmes for the 21st century.

Fans will also enjoy "mysterious treats" and have the opportunity to win a Sherlock Holmes-related prize, thanks to Schuler Books & Music & Chapbook Cafe, the event underwriter.
