Over the course of her career, Nogle has worked with thousands of athletes. She worked with USA Volleyball at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and the American rowing team at the 1988 Olympics in South Korea. Nogle also was a trainer for the U.S. women's basketball team in the 1987 World University Games in Yugoslavia.

Sally Nogle talks with host Al Martin about how she became an athletic trainer and how it feels to be considered an "icon" within a field that has few women. She also discusses the importance of making sports safer.
