Associate U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will visit East Lansing in August as part of the 2018 "One Book, One Community" series.

America’s first Hispanic Supreme Court justice will visit East Lansing this summer.

Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor was appointed to the High Court in 2009.  Her memoir, “My Beloved World,” is the subject of this year’s annual One Book, One Community event.

Justice Sotomayor will attend the kickoff event August 26 at East Lansing High School, and will speak during the MSU Academic Welcome ceremony on August 27.

Both events are free and open to the public.
