Samuel Stanley Jr. has been president at MSU since August 1.

New Michigan State University President Samuel Stanley Jr. is scheduling meetings with sexual abuse survivors. MSU’s Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct Expert Advisory Group is initially planning three meetings.

The first, on September 30th in the MSU Union Ballroom, is intended for sexual assault survivors including students, faculty and staff.

A session with survivors who want to discuss the Larry Nassar sex abuse case will be held at the East Lansing Public Library on October 8th.

There will also be a web-based meeting for survivors who choose not to attend a session in person. That will be on October 16th.

Along with President Stanley, officials from the advisory group will attend.

An online reservation page seeks RSVPs for planning purposes.

To protect privacy, a press release says media “are not invited to participate.”

All the meetings will begin at 6 p.m.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
