Teal ribbons have appeared around the MSU campus in support of Larry Nassar survivors.

The Reclaim MSU organization is holding a rally targeting the process for selecting the next MSU president starting at 5 p.m. today.

Reclaim MSU has been critical of the choice of John Engler as interim president, the university’s response to Larry Nassar survivors, and the possibility of higher tuition in the wake of any Nassar-related legal settlements.

Today’s rally is to call for a change to the MSU bylaws to assure that student, faculty and staff voices are heard in choosing the next MSU president.

James Madison College freshman Katie Paulot, Reclaim MSU’s secretary and social media coordinator, says "the way that the setup for the presidential search committee is makes it very hard to involve the community in any process."

Along with speakers at the rally, letters will be attached to the administration building explaining what supporters want, and petitions calling for a bylaws change will be circulated.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
