Possible COVID-19 Case At MSU Tests Negative For Coronavirus

From Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail: test results are in for the MSU student who was being tested for Coronavirus after exposure to a Wayne County case, and the test was negative.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is scheduled to hold a press conference at 11 p.m. for an update on COVID-19 cases in Michigan. Ten more positive test results in the state have been reported, bringing the total in Michigan to 12. One of those cases is in Ingham County, reportedly a a senior adult female with a history of being aboard a cruise ship. The patient is hospitalized in stable condition and is in isolation. A press release from the Ingham County Health Department does not indicate which hospital is treating the woman.

Jonathan Oosting of Bridge Magazine is reporting that state superintendent Michael Rice and Chief Medical Executive Joneigh Khaldun will join Gov. Whitmer at the 11 p.m. briefing.

Scott Pohl has maintained an on-call schedule reporting for WKAR following his retirement after 36 years on the air at the station.
