Penguins beat Red Wings in Game 3 of Cup finals

By AP

PITTSBURGH (AP) – PITTSBURGH (AP) - Sergei Gonchar scored the go-ahead goal with 9:31 left in the third period and Marc-Andre Fleury made 27 saves, lifting the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 4-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals.

The Penguins won at home after losing twice on the road against the defending champions just as they did last year in the finals.

Pittsburgh's Max Talbot scored 4:38 into the game and had an empty-net goal.

Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen scored to put Detroit ahead 2-1 midway through the first and Pittsburgh's Kristopher Letang tied it with 4:03 left in the period.

Game 4 is tomorrow night in Pittsburgh.
