EAST LANSING, MI –
The dismissal of NPR news analyst Juan Williams has created a storm of public outrage, and has sparked questions about professional standards in the media. WKAR's Mark Bashore talked with a local journalism expert and a political observer to hear their views on the state of journalism and the line between objectivity and opinion. Lucinda Davenport is the dean of the Journalism School at Michigan State University. Political analyst Bill Ballenger is the publisher of Inside Michigan Politics and a former Republican state senator and representative.
