NCAA gives graduation rates for Michigan schools

DETROIT –
The University of Michigan's men's basketball team has a graduation rate of 36 percent in the latest figures released by the NCAA.

The NCAA's annual Graduation Success Rate report says 79% of all Division I athletes entering school between 2000-01 and 2003-04 earned a degree within six years.

Michigan's men's basketball team was at 36%, but the football team was at 72%, above the national average for major college football programs.

Michigan's field hockey, softball, women's golf and men's and women's tennis teams earned 100% rates.

Michigan State's men's basketball team was at 50% and the football team was at 55%. The school's women's golf, women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball teams were at 100%.
