East Lansing, MI – Entering her third season as head coach of the Michigan State woman's basketball program Suzy Merchant looks to build off a twenty-two win season a year ago which included a trip to the sweet sixteen.
The Michigan State lady Spartans return 9 players who started at least one game last season, their top six scorers return from a a squad that was an eyelash away from advancing to the elite eight last March.
Coach Suzy Merchant understands with more success in building a program comes higher expectations and entering this season she believes that senior leadership on and off the court will pay huge dividends on how far this very talented and deep team will go.
