Michigan's Walberg eyes return to Congress in 2010

By AP

LANSING, MI – Former U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg wants his old job back.

Walberg announced Tuesday that he is running for Congress in 2010. That could set up a rematch between the Republican from Tipton and Democratic U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer of Battle Creek to represent the southern Michigan district.

Walberg was elected to Congress in 2006. But Schauer beat him last year as Democrats benefited from having Barack Obama at the top of the ticket.
