Mayor Uses Pen Name To Report City's Good News

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep. Many politicians must view the media the same way as the mayor of a Salt Lake City suburb did. He thought the story would be so much better if only he could write it himself. Before a policy against pen names forced him to confess, he provided over a dozen newspaper articles and even quoted himself. You're listening to MORNING EDITION.
