Got a story to tell? We want to hear it!

Pop-Up Stories is a mobile storytelling project coming soon to a neighborhood near you!
Save the date and prepare a five-minute story about the themes below:

SEPTEMBER 9, 5:30pm: Hungry & Fed at Allen Market Place
OCTOBER 11, 2:00PM: Loan & Borrow at East Lansing Public Library
OCTOBER 21, 5:30pm: Create & Destroy at REACH Studio Art Center

Your story should be about a true, first-hand experience. All ages are welcome to attend and participate.

If you want to tell a story, just contact April Van Buren at avanburen@wkar.org or sign up when you arrive.

For more information and to learn about upcoming events, visit facebook.com/PopUpStoriesLansing.

Every WKAR News story you read is rooted in fact-based, local journalism, produced without commercial influence and available for free to everyone in mid-Michigan. No paywalls. Ever.

But this work doesn’t fund itself. With significant cuts to federal funding, public media is facing a critical moment. If you believe in journalism that serves the public interest, now is the time to act. Donate today.
