Before Google, Michigan Brothers Compiled Calendar Events

How many times do you look on Twitter or Facebook and find out that it’s National Pizza Day or another day named after your favorite food? Or that your favorite celebrity is celebrating their birthday? Way before there was Google, a pair of brothers from Michigan compiled that information in a yearly calendar of events.

WKAR’s Brooke Allen takes us to Ann Arbor to meet one of those brothers, William Chase.

Brooke Allen served as local producer and host for Morning Edition, from June 2016-March 2018.
WKAR has closed the gap left by the loss of federal funding. Because of you, trusted journalism, inspiring stories, and classical music remain freely available to everyone in mid-Michigan.
Now the work continues — your monthly gift helps maintain this success and keeps public media free for all.
