DETROIT, MI –
Chrysler Group LLC says its sales rose 25% in April, the first double-digit increase for the automaker in nearly five years.
The automaker says its minivan sales rose more than 50% over April of last year, helping to lead the increase. It says the sales rise is a sign that the company's turnaround plans are starting to take hold.
Sales also were up 3% from March.
The company also reported triple-digit percentage increases for its Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger midsize cars.
