Central Michigan stuns MSU with second chance last second field goal

East Lansing, MI – Central Michigan makes good on a second chance 42 yard field goal with just 3 seconds remaining clinched a 29-27 victory at Spartan Stadium.

In a frantic 38 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Central Michigan managed to score a touchdown miss a two point conversion to try to win the game, recover an onside kick, get a 47 yard field goal attempt blocked by Michigan State only for the Spartans defense to be called for an off sides giving Central Michigan senior kicker Andrew Agulia another chance who delivered with just 3 seconds left in the game for the victory.

For the second straight week Sophomore Kirk Cousins started at quarterback and went 13-18 for 164 yards and a touchdown. Spartan back up Kieth Nichol went 3 for 8 for only 51 yards and a touchdown.

Senior wide receiver Blair White once again led the green and white in receiving with 7 catches for 107 yards.
Once again freshmen running back Caulton Ray led the Spartans with 16 rushes for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan LaFevour had a big day going 33-46 for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns and a interception.

Michigan State now falls to 1-1 on the season travels to Notre Dame for their first road test of the season.
