Bodies of 2 plane crash victims recovered in Mich.

By AP

LUDINGTON, MI –

State police divers have recovered the remains of two passengers on a medical plane that crashed into Lake Michigan a week ago.

Mason County Emergency Management Coordinator Liz Reimink said Friday afternoon the bodies were taken to the county medical examiner's office for identification.

Two people who were on the July 23 flight remain missing. The pilot was rescued that day.

Officials located the plane's wreckage Thursday evening.

The plane plunged into Lake Michigan off the coast of western Michigan while flying a cancer patient to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
