Lansing, MI –
Lansing Mayor and democratic candidate for Governor Virg Bernero says he's optimistic he and his republican opponent Rick Snyder will reopen gubernatorial debate negotiations.
Negotiations broke down last week before the camps could agree on a schedule. Bernero showed up yesterday afternoon at a town-hall meeting Snyder was speaking at in Westland.
Bernero says he wanted to personally invite Snyder to sit down and work things out. He says Monday's impromptu meeting was the first time the two men had spent much time together. Snyder says he has no plans to restart negotiations.
