Five of mid-Michigan’s finest figure skaters will soon be on their way to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.  The week-long event begins January 5 in Boston.

Local competitors are Hannah Miller, Ivan Mokhov, Sam Parks, and sisters Devin and Maeve Pascoe.  The skaters range in age from 14 to 17, but most are already seasoned competitors.

Suburban Ice in East Lansing held a send-off party for the group this week.  Current State’s Kevin Lavery watched their routines, and has this audio postcard.
