DETROIT – More than 100,000 Michigan utility customers are without power after thunderstorms battered the region.
DTE Energy Co. spokesman Scott Simons says as of 5:45 a.m. today about 66,000 customers were without power, down from about 117,000 when the storms began Sunday morning.
Consumers Energy says about 48,000 customers were without power as of 6:45 a.m.
Affected DTE customers include 20,000 in Oakland County, 23,000 in Macomb and 17,000 in Wayne.
