WKAR-AM/FM/TV - Corporate Support Coordinator

WKAR is seeking a Corporate Support Coordinator to generate revenue through the sale of underwriting and sponsorships of WKAR content.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for public media, community, and sales
  • Bachelor’s degree and three or more years’ experience in development, marketing, or media buying or sales
  • Clear and concise writing, speaking and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to multiple accounts from prospecting through invoicing and collection.
  • Demonstrated achievement of performance goals through self-motivation, problem-solving, and collaboration
  • Able to follow internal processes and guidelines
  • Able to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Manage a client list of current and lapsed underwriters, develop prospective clients, maintain records of contact information, meeting notes, follow up plan, and renewal dates.
  • Create proposals for effective underwriting and sponsorship opportunities using research and communication with clients.
  • Write effective underwriting messages while following FCC and WKAR guidelines.
  • Enter contract information accurately into ProTrack to assure schedules air properly, announcements are read correctly, and clients are billed accurately.
  • Represent WKAR at community and business events to develop and deepen relationships.
  • Conduct business with integrity and in a way that is consistent with WKAR values.
