WKAR Public Media is seeking a passionate and skilled videographer/editor to join our award-winning creative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic group of producers and staff in a fast-paced creative environment. The ideal candidate will be a strong storyteller with a proven track record of making creative short form video content and visually dynamic and compelling graphics. This is a limited term position funded for one year from date of hire with possible extension contingent upon funding renewal.

This person will be a part of the WKAR Productions team with the opportunity to work with broadcast professionals and student interns. The ideal candidate will have strong portfolio of video and multi-media work with national broadcast credits. Successful candidate must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as events occur; some travel will be required.

WKAR is a division of the College of Communication Arts & Sciences at Michigan State University. It includes WKAR-TV, WKAR AM and FM, WKAR.org, the Radio Reading Service, and WKAR Ready-To-Learn, and reaches more than a half-million mid-Michigan residents each week, and contributes to the educational experience of Michigan State University's 47,000-plus student body.
