Limbaugh Loses Seventh Advertiser Over Comments About Law Student

ProFlowers on Sunday became the seventh advertiser to pull adds from conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh's nationally syndicated program in the wake of his charge last week that a Georgetown University law student is a "slut" and a "prostitute" because she believes insurers should cover the cost of women's contraception services.

There’s a fight brewing over one Michigan delegate to the Republican National Convention this summer. The state Republican Party has awarded both of Michigan’s at-large delegates to Mitt Romney – despite the fact that Rick Santorum was a close runner-up in the popular vote.

MSU Edits Public Copy of Lawmaker’s Traffic Stop

Michigan State University has cut portions of a videotape and police report on the arrest of a state lawmaker who is a key decision-maker on higher education spending. State Representative Bob Genetski was stopped last month on the MSU campus and arrested for drunk driving.

Grumpy Snowmen: MSU's Answer To Angry Birds

One of the biggest video games in recent years is “Angry Birds”. In the game, birds slingshot themselves at structures protecting pigs, and the object is to destroy the pigs.

For a few months now, there’s been a similar game on the market, aimed squarely at the Michigan State University market.

It’s called Grumpy Snowmen.

Romney Wins Michigan Primary

Former Massachusetts governor and Michigan native Mitt Romney has won the Michigan primary, edging out rival GOP hopeful Rick Santorum.  

At 11 p.m. Tuesday, with 87 percent of the statewide vote counted, Romney carried 41 percent of the vote to Santorum's 37 percent.

Romney's win in Michigan and Arizona propels his campaign towards Super Tuesday on March 6.  Ten states and more than 400 delegates will be up for grabs.

National Geographic Photographer Steve Winter Visits MSU

National Geographic photographer Steve Winter visited Michigan State University this week to talk about shooting pictures for the world's leading nature and photography magazine.

Among his stops was a photography class, where he showed some of his pictures and videos.

Large cats have become his passion. His most recent story was about tigers.

Steve Winter told WKAR's Scott Pohl that after 20 years, most of his National Geographic stories come from his own ideas. Lots of research and legwork has to be done before he can go into the field.
