The day of the driverless car is gaining ground.  Fast. 

 

What was once a science fiction fantasy is exploding into a legitimate industry.  Connected vehicles have caught the attention of such companies as Tesla, Uber and even Google.  Now, add the U.S. military to that list.  In Michigan, an Army research and development lab is experimenting with cargo hauling trucks to learn how to run automated supply convoys.  The goal is to save time, fuel and human lives.

Michigan needs to create more opportunities for kids of color. That’s according to advocates after a new report was released Tuesday. The report shows that African-American kids in Michigan fare worse in areas like education than in any other state.

The Michigan Liquor Control Commission has voted to lift a longstanding rule prohibiting liquor stores from operating within a half-mile (0.8 kilometers) of each other.

Michigan State University graduate, now SportsCenter host on ESPN, Jemele Hill, made national headlines earlier this week when she called President Donald Trump a white supremacist via Twitter. ESPN issued a statement noting that Hill's comments do not represent the company and that they had addressed it with Hill. This morning on Twitter President Trump said ESPN "is paying a really big price for its politics (and bad programming). People are dumping it in RECORD numbers. Apologize for untruth."
