Some things make my job even more fun than it already is. WKAR's taping of our QuizBusters Special Edition on Tuesday, September 11, was one of them.
We had 16 special guests — all well known in the community — playing our popular QuizBusters game. They were lively, fun and smart – and they all seemed to be having a great time. It was fun to see all the Facebook chatter after the show.
Beginning Monday, September 10, WKAR TV over-the-air viewers will be able to watch WKAR, WKAR World and WKAR Create 24 hours a day.
There will also be a change in channel allocation for WKAR World. It will move to channel 23.2, placing the older standard definition version of WKAR. WKAR will remain on 23.1 in high definition; WKAR World will be at 23.2 and WKAR Create will remain at 23.3.
Participants in WKAR’s upcoming “QuizBusters Special Edition” competition were revealed on Thursday, September 6, at the station’s fall preview.
Playing the first game for the Green Team are Scott Westerman, President, MSU Alumni Association; Jen Sygit, Michigan-based singer and songwriter; Sue Carter, MSU School of Journalism faculty member, author and intrepid adventurer; and team captain Guy Sanville, Artistic Director, Purple Rose Theatre.
WKAR-TV is proud of its PBS national schedule, which offers you the best in drama, documentary and news. But we are equally proud (maybe a little more so) of the terrific work done right here at WKAR, including BackStage Pass, Off the Record and QuizBusters.
Fall is in the air! Kids are returning to school soon and it won't be long before the leaves turn. At WKAR, that means on thing in particular -- it's time to make your reservations for our Fall Preview on September 6.
