WKAR Radio wrapped up its fall membership campaign with a grand total of $139,527, surpassing the pledge goal of $110,000 by nearly $30,000.
The total reflects gifts of 1,065 individuals, with 80 percent of the gifts being new members or those who had returned after more than 13 months since their membership inspired.
WKAR is doing so many things this month, it is hard to keep up! One I am particularly excited about is the second in our series of Community Cinema screenings and follow-up community discussions.
It's not too late to get into the terrific new PBS series, Call the Midwife, airing Sundays at 8 p.m. on WKAR (with repeats Thursdays at 9 p.m. on WKAR World and Fridays at 10 p.m. on WKAR).
If you haven't discovered this touching, funny, dramatic show yet, give it a try. And if you have, take this quiz to see which midwife is most like you!
When I hear the words "Teddy Bear Picnic" I think of the delightful children's song. But the Teddy Bear Picnic that I'm most looking forward to isn't "in the woods at night," but right here at MSU during the middle of the day.
