The Michigan Shakespeare Festival gets underway later this week and while the headliner features a 20-year reunion, another play has been bringing out the online trolls to the Festival's social media outlets.

We speak with the English-Pakistani theater director Iqbal Khan, who has led productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Globe Theater, and recently at the Hollywood Bowl. He's in town this week talking about Shakespeare with students and faculty.


An extended conversation with English director Iqbal Khan, who has directed for The Globe Theater in London, as well as for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He speaks with WKAR's Jamie Paisley about why audiences have been drawn to his productions, and the salient points about contemporary casting in our seemingly contradictory post-Brexit, post-Trump-election world, which remains just as multicultural as it was a few months ago.
