Thousands of graduates will cross the stage to collect their degrees from Michigan State University this weekend.

Physician Mona Hanna-Attisha of MSU's College of Human Medicine and her team helped prove the children of Flint, Michigan, had been poisoned by a lead-contaminated water supply. Hanna-Attisha will deliver the commencement address at MSU’s undergraduate convocation on May 6.

The ceremony will be streamed here at wkar.org as a live webcast 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6.

Michigan State University's December commencement ceremonies will include two prominent Detroiters.  Newspaperman, author and broadcaster Mitch Albom will address undergraduates on Saturday, December 10th.  The author of "Tuesdays with Morrie" will also receive an honorary doctorate of humanities. 

Detroit Public Schools emergency manager Roy Roberts will speak to undergraduates that afternoon.  Roberts will be awarded an honorary doctorate of business.
