Spartans Edge Maryland for Date in Big Ten Tourney Ship

The No. 2 Michigan State men's basketball team was able to squeak out a close win on Saturday over the No. 18 Maryland Terrapins in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tourney in Indianapolis, IN at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The No.11 Michigan State men's basketball team were able to pull away late at home against Maryland to win 74-65, ending a three-game skid.

The 2000 MSU national championship men's basketball team was honored at halftime of Saturday's game between the Spartans and Florida Gators. Bryn Forbes had 12 points and six rebounds and fellow senior Denzel Valentine added 17 points, helping the No. 1 Spartans beat Florida 58-52, moving the team to 11-0 on the year. 

D’Mitrik Trice charts his own basketball path

The Trice family seems to be more familiar with unfamiliar paths that lead to success. Travis Trice Jr., Michigan State alum and recent New York Knicks signee, proved to his little brother, D’Mitrik, you can get to where you’re going no matter the path it entails.

D’Mitrik, or Meech as his family calls him, attended Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio to play basketball under his father, Travis Trice Sr.

Spartans Nip Owls in Season Opener

The MSU men's basketball team topped Florida Atlantic University at the Breslin Center in Friday night's season opener. This marked the 31st consecutive season opening win for the Spartans, 18-3 under head coach Tom Izzo.

Branden Dawson had 12 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots to help Michigan State outlast Penn State 66-60 on Wednesday night.

WKAR's Al Martin brings you his post-game report on the MSU men's basketball win over Indiana on Monday night. 

Michigan State cruises to a 79-52 win over Santa Clara at the Breslin Center on November 24th. Gavin Schilling had career highs of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Marvin Clark Jr., starting in place of Branden Dawson - out with the flu - had 15 points and four blocked shots for the Spartans (3-1), who never trailed and built a 40-14 halftime lead. Denzel Valentine added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Game highlights are featured here.
