  Today, we give you a sneak peak into tonight's "Current Sports TV" sit-down. Al Martin chats with the head coach of the Lansing Community College men's basketball team, Mike Ingram. Al also gives his thoughts on the University of Maryland approving a plan to sell beer at sporting events, as well as broadcaster Bob Costas and his thoughts on ESPN giving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award to Caitlyn Jenner. Michigan’s expanding brewing culture will be well-represented today and tomorrow in Grand Rapids. The 10th Annual Winter Beer Festival will feature more than 100 Michigan breweries with over 1000 different craft beers available to sample.

Over the past decade there has been tremendous growth in Michigan based breweries. There’s Founders in Grand Rapids, Bell's in Kalamazoo, Atwater in Detroit. In Lansing, there’s nothing. Matt Jason and Jeremy Sprague are hoping to change that.

A state House panel has unanimously approved bills meant to help Michigan craft brewers.

No Lansing area bar has generated a buzz lately like the HopCat in East Lansing. Lines have been common since its opening just over a week ago at Grove and Albert in downtown East Lansing.

The second Lansing Beer Week starts this weekend with series of activities, including the Festival of the Moon tonight and the Festival of the Sun on Saturday.

This week in 1985, the Stroh Brewery Company announced that it would close its brewery on Detroit's East Side. Chairman Peter Stroh said the facility was obsolete, and it was demolished within a year.
