"Drive to 65" Makes Goal Early

WKAR’s Kevin Lavery and Melissa Ingells rallied fans of the morning news program to call in their pledges and show their support for the array of programs that WKAR Radio offers mid-Michigan radio listeners.

Thank you to the 569 WKAR Radio supporters who pledged during the station’s campaign which promised station listeners the on-air campaign would end once the $65,000 goal was reached. The campaign began on Sunday, January 25 with a four-hour marathon of The Folk Tradition with Bob Blackman.

During October 2008, WKAR Radio’s campaign goal fell short by $65,000, and the January mini pledge marathon was conducted to raise the additional funds.

Thank you to all who participated and to all our loyal supporters throughout the year.
