WKAR Radio Campaign Ends Up Meeting Goal
Although WKAR Radio’s fall on-air fundraising campaign concluded last Friday afternoon just short of our goal, we’re pleased to say that thanks to you, we reached our $165,000 goal through telephone and web pledges that came in for six days after the official campaign conclusion.
"While we fell a bit short of our 500 new member mark, we still received gifts supporting WKAR from more than 1,500 radio supporters," says Jill Westmoreland-Ayers, WKAR's director of annual giving. "That number is significant and makes the difference in our being able to continue to provide you the best in classical music, news, folk, jazz and even SportsTalk!"
We know that for many of you, “pledge time” is in April. Whether you called us last April, responded to our letters with a pledge in the mail, called us in October or went online at WKAR.org, please know how very much we appreciate your support. We simply could not maintain a vibrant public radio station without your support.
