WKAR Radio Talking Book operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week serving persons who have difficulty reading conventional printed material.
WKAR’s Radio Talking Book service provides these people access to news and information they can use to live better independently.
Subscribing to WKAR Radio Talking Book
The special radio receiver used to listen to Radio Talking Book programs is loaned free-of-charge to individuals who qualify for the service.
Volunteering
Reading aloud as a WKAR Radio Talking Book volunteer can be a gratifying experience, bringing a world of printed material to those who are visually impaired or otherwise unable to read print.
