WKAR's Imagine, Create, and Play Workshop

Hey middle schoolers! Learn how to create video games at this FREE workshop presented by WKAR and the College of Communication Arts & Sciences at Michigan State University.

FREE Admission | Compete for Prizes | Lunch Included

The day-long workshop features hands-on activities and paper prototype games designed to help students develop the necessary processes required to create video games.

Students will learn from video game experts from MSU College of Communication Arts and Sciences and East Lansing-based game development company Adventure Club Games.

WKAR's Imagine, Create and Play Workshop will stress the importance of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills to the gaming industry, and will help prepare budding video game developers to participate in the 2012 National STEM Video Game Challenge.

This event is limited to children in grades 5-8.

The challenge is supported by Michigan State University College of Engineering, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and PBS KIDS through the Ready To Learn Initiative. The video game challenge is inspired by the “Educate to Innovate Campaign.”
