First of all, I want to thank YOU! You the community, the business leaders and the voices of the mid-Michigan community. The voices that made all of this happen.
I hope you heard that President Simon announced Monday, Jan. 11 that MSU will NOT participate in the FCC Broadcast Incentive Auction. This means that WKAR-TV will retain its broadcast spectrum and the station will be here to serve you.
Over the past two weeks, WKAR has received hundreds of phone calls, emails and postings on social media. Further, more than 300 community members attended a public forum to support the station.
Here at WKAR, we are truly touched by this support from across mid-Michigan.
We need businesses and organizations like yours in order to continue to bring these programs to mid-Michigan. Please consider becoming a corporate supporter to help pay for the PBS and WKAR original programs that mid-Michigan viewers enjoy and depend on. In return, your brand will reach a highly loyal and devoted audience that truly wants to keep this community thriving.
Please watch this brief video on WKAR-TV and see how easy it is to get started. Then contact me to set up a time to schedule the best way to use your dollars of support.
