U2 postpones MSU concert

By Scott Pohl, WKAR

EAST LANSING, MI –

The biggest musical event of the summer has been put off, as U2 has postponed its entire summer concert tour. That includes the scheduled June 30th performance at Michigan State University's Spartan Stadium.

Singer Bono recently underwent emergency back surgery, and has been ordered to undergo at least eight weeks of recuperation.

The U2 website reports that the 16 summer concerts planned by the band will be rescheduled in 2011.

Ticketholders are being encouraged to keep their tickets.
