About a week ago I had the chance to step into Linda Hundt's kitchen at Sweetie-licious Bakery Cafe. While we taped a wonderful cooking special that premieres Saturday, December 1, at 10 a.m., I also soaked up everything I could about making a perfect pie crust, pie, gingerbread men and a coffee cake to die for!
Linda had this cute red holiday apron made for me. She always looks great in her vintage dresses. And while I might get a little nervous about wearing it to cook at home, somehow we made it through the show (and the many takes needed to make the show) without a spill.
At the end of the show, my family and Linda's came on the set to enjoy some punch and coffee cake. And really, isn't family what it's all about?
There's so much happening this holiday season — shopping and baking, decorating and wrapping. But aren't the best happenings those when you enjoy time with your family?
Maybe its sharing a favorite book (because you are never too old to read aloud) or watching one of the great holiday specials WKAR is featuring together. Maybe you're playing a game or decking the halls.
I know we'll be doing all those things. And we may even devour a coffee cake or two! (Check HERE for more on the show, including broadcast times.)
Welcome Home for the Holidays from WKAR!
