Midwife Marathon March 17!
Fri March 8, 2013
Susi's Station Notes: The Midwives are Back!
One of the questions I seem to be hearing a lot these days is "When does Call the Midwife return?"
A lot of our viewers fell in love with the four young women who settled into Nonnatus House with the resident nuns to practice midwifery in post-World War II London. Life in the East End isn't easy, but Jenny, Trixie, Cynthia and Chummy won our hearts with their kindness as they settled into their new lives.
The second season of Call the Midwife begins on Sunday, March 31. You may have already signed up for our special sneak preview at Studio C! Theatre on March 21.
But if you came into the world of the midwives mid-season or would like the opportunity to catch up on the series, please join us on WKAR-TV on Sunday, March 17. We'll have a Call the Midwife marathon that begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m., featuring all six of the first season's episodes.
These shows will also repeat at 8 and 9 p.m. on Thursdays on WKAR World for three weeks, beginning March 14.
So many of the shows here on WKAR introduce you to new places or ideas or take you back in time. Call the Midwife does all that and more -- and it does it with heart. I hope you'll join us!
