Susi's Station Notes: Giving Thanks
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. I know that as I was giving thanks for my family and all the other things that matter in my life, I couldn't help but thinking of WKAR and the many thanks due from us to you.
Thank you for your gifts of support that allow us to bring you the best public broadcasting programming available into your home each and every day of the year.
Thanks to our volunteers who tirelessly answer phones and help us in so many ways.
Thanks to the students who work or do internships here at WKAR. Not only do they help keep us young but by sharing their perspective and enthusiasm, it motivates us to do and be more so that you can get the best out of your time with us.
Thank you to the underwriters whose dollars help us continue to achieve our mission.
Thank you to the many community organizations with whom we have formed strong partnerships, including many new ones in the past year. Together we make a difference in our community, and for that I am also grateful.
Thank you to our staff. Television is a team-driven business and we can't do it without those who make the programs we do locally, those who schedule our three channels, our development team and those who make sure you know what's on!
Finally, I am grateful to live and work right here in mid-Michigan, a place that has much to offer us all. It is a privilege for WKAR to play a role in mid-Michigan and the lives of those who live here.
Thank you — and Welcome Home for the Holidays!
