When it hits April, it finally feels as though spring is really here! And this week's temperatures and a few green bulb shoot sightings remind us that soon it will be festival season.
Here at WKAR we're looking ahead to the MSU Science Festival April 12-21 here on the campus. You'll find everything from interactive displays to speakers to activities for kids. On April 13 we're teaming up with MSU Extension to offer activities for children at the exhibition tent. It will be busy but fun!
Then in May, we'll be off to the East Lansing Art Festival with our friend Daniel Tiger, activities for kids in the children's area and we'll be broadcasting "Current State" live. You'll find some of our WKAR personalities announcing acts on the music stage.
Once we get into June, we'll be flying with festivals that continue through the summer, including Summer Solstice Jazz Festival, Lansing JazzFest, Great Lakes Folk Festival, Old Town BluesFest and maybe a few more!
Between that, the Spartan Sports Journalism Classic, our Kids Club Kick-off and more, we plan on being pretty busy and in our community. Stop by and say hello when you see us out there, and mark your calendar for great fun!
