Susi's Station Notes: A Big Night in Studio F

We had a great night last evening in WKAR's Studio F when we welcomed special guest, Greg "Special K" Kelser, to WKAR as the guest on the premiere episode of Current Sports.

Al Martin, host of WKAR Radio's Current Sports will be bringing a weekly television version of the series to WKAR beginning Thursday, September 12, at 10 p.m. While most episodes will be recorded shortly before broadcast to ensure timely and up-to-the-minute sports information, the premiere -- an interview with Kelser -- was recorded last evening.

We hope that those who were in the live audience last night will return for the regular series! A great audience of about 80 people enjoyed Kelser's stories and his look back at key moments from his career as an MSU Spartan (his team won the legendary 1979 NCAA championships) and as a Detroit Piston. He also talks about his broadcasting career, playing with Magic, working with announce legend George Blaha and shares some of his thoughts on current discussions in sports.

Kelser is now an announcer and color commentator with Fox Sports Network and also covers basketball with the Big Ten Network.
