Students Don't Have To Go Hungry Over Summer

For most students, summer is a long-awaited time of relaxation. For others, it means hunger; but it doesn't have to.

The United Way-sponsored 2-1-1 reports that 49 million people across America cannot afford to feed their family every day, despite the national surplus of food.

As students in Ingham County schools approach summer, struggling families are encouraged to dial 2-1-1 for information on local food solutions.
