Ontario Power Generation plans to store radioactive waste in an underground cavern near Lake Huron. The storage site’s proximity to the lake has raised concern across the Great Lakes basin.State Sen. Hoon-Yung Hopgood traveled to Canada to address potential drawbacks of the proposed disposal location. He says there are about 20 reactors in Ontario, and they generate a lot of nuclear waste.
