Snyder Admitted To Hospital With Blood Clot

mlive.com

Governor Rick Snyder’s public schedule has been cleared after he was admitted to a hospital in Ann Arbor Thursday.

As The Michigan Public Radio Network’s Rick Pluta reports, the governor has a blood clot in his leg.

Governor Snyder tore his Achilles tendon several weeks ago and has had to keep his leg pretty much stationary. Dave Murray is the governor’s spokesman.

He says the governor’s public schedule has been cleared, but Snyder is staying busy.

“Working with his iPad and his phone. He is in the hospital receiving treatment, but he is very    much alert, very much in control,” he says.

It’s not known yet how long the governor will have to remain in the hospital. But Murray says Snyder intends to be at the Capitol next Wednesday to present his budget proposal to state lawmakers.
