It comes as no surprise that the Rusty Wright Band has accumulated a large following in their home state of Michigan since the band's formation in 2004. Drawing on influences from southern rock, to blues, to jazz, the band has created a distinct sound. "Just like Muddy Waters said, 'take music where you find it and take it a little farther,' and that's what we're trying to do," says Rusty.

The Rusty Wright Band has gained exposure over recent years by opening for high profile acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Etta James. The band has played countless shows and festivals in Michigan and beyond, amassing a loyal and passionate fan base.
The Rusty Wright Band is fronted by Rusty and his wife Laurie LaCross-Wright. Both Rusty and Laurie play guitar and sing on almost every number. The couple's supporting band members include Dave Brahce on keyboards, Peter Haist on drums, and Andy Barancik serving as the bass guitarist.
