Red Wings-re-sign forward Drew Miller for 1 year

By AP

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings say they've re-signed forward Drew Miller to a one-year contract.

The team isn't releasing the terms.

The 26-year-old Miller was the Anaheim Ducks' sixth round pick (186th overall) in 2003 out of Michigan State. He played parts of three seasons with the Ducks before a trade to Tampa Bay Lightning before the 2009-10 season.

Miller played 14 games with Tampa Bay before being waived. The Red Wings claimed him in November. He played in 66 games for Detroit last season, making 10 goals and nine assists.
