Carol Edmunds told her story at WKAR's Pop-Up Stories event last month. The next event is on May 25th at The Robin Theatre in Lansing.

In advance of WKAR's next Pop-Up Stories event on May 25th, we have a story from our last event about operating a restaurant in downtown Lansing from Carol Edmunds.

People who attended Current State’s most recent Pop Up Stories event enjoyed a first-person account of what it’s like to run a downtown Lansing restaurant. Carol Edmunds launched and for years operated the Spotted Dog Cafe.

At (SCENE) Metrospace in East Lansing, she explained what led a novice to open a restaurant, along with a few sketches of some of her most memorable customers.

We invite you tell a story at Current State’s next Pop-Up Stories event next week. We’re gathering next Wednesday evening the 25th at the Robin Theatre in REO Town Lansing for stories on the theme “The Birds and the Bees.” Join us and tell your own family friendly story or just to listen in. If you have a story, email us at currentstate@wkar.org. You can also stay up to date on all our upcoming events by liking our Facebook page at Pop Up Stories Lansing.
