LANSING, MI – National Public Radio's Don Gonyea has been covering the President of the United States for nearly a decade. This year he's transitioning out of the White House to take on the role of a national correspondent. Gonyea is a Michigan native and a graduate of Michigan State University. He'll be speaking at MSU later today. Gonyea started his career with NPR covering Detroit. He spoke with WKAR's Rob South about his career and how it's changed since his days on the Detroit beat.
